What Humanity Expects Me to Be
I’m not an angel, not even close,
I’m not perfect, not even when forced.
But this is what humanity expects me to be.

A few achievements, here and there-
Not an overachiever, not so rare.
But this is what humanity expects me to be.

“Don’t worry, she can do it”
But I can’t and I can prove it.
But this is what humanity expects me to be.

I cant seem to get things right,
Though I try to accomplish it, with all my might.
But this is what humanity expects me to be.

A responsible person, with a head on her shoulder,
Is not what I’ll be, even if I grow older.
Then why does humanity expect this of me?
